Royal Milky Way D: Snowkist Smiles Royal DD: Snowkist Stormy's Smiles Legacy was our favorite goat here at the Mamm-Key Alpine Goat Ranch. We loved many things about her. Her disposition was sweet and loyal. She stayed by my side when we went for walks. She was the mommy to all the other goats. If one was missing she worried about it and carried much upon herself to be responsible for it. Legacy also was my best milker. She had given us at least 4575 lbs.. in 305 days, her first lactation. I should have kept milking her that first year. Her second freshening she made us even prouder giving us 5555 lbs.. in 348 days and still milking. I milked Legacy this time for two years. This third freshening she has given us 8760 in 658 days. Leg's had excellent levelness of rump from thurl to thurl and hips to pins. Her udder had endured carrying at least 10-12 lbs. of milk day after day for many years. Her udder was wide with an excellent medial, a smooth fore udder attachment. Most does only carry 6 lbs. for 9 months and then get three months off. Their mammaries have not worked as hard as a mammary like Legacy's. She excelled in body capacity easily over 200 lbs. She gave us four little doelings in 1997. Her large teats may be trouble for smaller hands. She has given us two Grand Champions and her daughter Legend is on her way. We have sold a lot of her daughters that didn't get the chance to be shown that I feel would have shown just as well. Two of those daughters have returned and are Gypsy sisters.
